Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club forward Albert Amoah is bullish about his chances of making it to Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars.
Amoah made this known in a post-game presser after Kotoko’s goalless draw with Kpando Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Two games into the season, Amoah has a goal which came via a 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in the opening round of the 2025-2026 Ghana League season.
The former Accra Great Olympics 23 year old player has been impressive for Kotoko and scored twice in the Porcupine Warriors 5-3 aggregate win over Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup leading to calls for him to be called to the Black Stars.
Amoah wasn’t called to the National Team for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Central African Republic (C.A.R.) and Comoros but isn’t perturbed about the snub.

“I feel okay I want to congratulate everyone who got called and we are supporting them…I know my time will come” Amoah said.

With Kwame Opoku sidelined with injury, Amoah is set to lead Kotoko’s frontline against defending Ghana league champions Bibiani Gold Stars on Wednesday, October 8 at 19:00 GMT in an outstanding game.
