Nigeria’s National Men’s Football Team needs a win over Benin and for Rwanda to beat South Africa or draw with South Africa to qualify to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Super Eagles rank third in Group C with 14 points and trail group leaders Benin (17 points) and South Africa (15 points) heading into the crucial game against Benin on Tuesday, October 14 at 16:00 GMT in Nigeria.

The African powerhouse missed out on the 2022 World Cup and ahead of the big game, former Nigeria striker Brown Ideye has called for striker Victor Osimhen to get a partner up front.
“Osimhen for sure needs someone to play with him. Watching Tolu [Arokodare] in the first half and Akor [Adams] in the few minutes that he played, we are still looking for the balance for the partnership between any one of them and Osimhen” Ideye said to Super Sport.
