Medeama Sporting Club midfielder Prince Owusu has stated that his ambition is to be part of the Black Stars roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana has qualified to compete in next year’s World Cup that takes place in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.

Owusu was part of the Black Stars team that beat Comoros 1-0 to seal qualification to the World Cup; he played a cameo role in Ghana’s 5-0 win over Central African Republic.

Ahead of Medeama’s Ghana Premier League clash against FC Samartex on Saturday, October 18 at the TNA Stadium at 15:00 GMT, Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko said that Prince Owusu’s return makes his team stronger. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“After returning from the Black Stars camp, I won’t be complacent. What I did that caught the attention of the Black Stars head coach [Otto Addo] that got him to invite me, I plan on working even harder to be better. My target is to be part of the 2026 World Cup so we can win the trophy for Ghana.”
