Ghana defender Maxwell Woledzi says moving to Major League Soccer (MLS) side Nashville SC was the right thing for him to do.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports following his transfer from Norwegian club Fredrikstad FK to Nashville on a three year deal in December, 2025 after being named Fredrikstad Player of the Year.

The 24 year old who is a product of the famous Right To Dream Academy becomes the latest Ghanaian player to move to the MLS following the likes of Joseph Paintsil and Woledzi believes the move is the right one.

“When I assessed everything, [moving to] Nashville was the right thing to do. You have to know who you are going to work with the people around you.”

“When you have good people around you i.e. the coaches, the technical directors, the players then you know you are going to a good place. I assessed Nashville and the league…I know that I’m going to meet very good players” Woledzi said.
