Austria will welcome Ghana to Vienna for an international friendly as both nations fine-tune preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars will face the Europeans on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Ernst Happel Stadium, with kick-off set for 17:00 GMT. The match forms part of Ghana’s two-game friendly schedule in March, following confirmation of qualification for the World Cup to be staged in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Ghana have been drawn in a tough Group I alongside England, Croatia and Panama, while Austria will test themselves against reigning world champions Argentina, Algeria and Jordan in Group J.

After the Austria encounter, Otto Addo’s side will lock horns with Germany in their second friendly on Monday, March 30, 2026, as preparations intensify ahead of the global showpiece.
The Black Stars will begin their World Cup campaign against Panama on Wednesday, June 17, in Toronto, before taking on England in Boston on June 23. Ghana will round off their group fixtures with a clash against Croatia on June 27, 2026.
