Michael Carrick celebrated like a kid as Matheus Cunha’s stunning late strike sealed a sensational 3–2 victory for Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners started strong and took the lead in the first half through an own-goal by Lisandro Martínez, courtesy of Jurrien Timber’s persistence in attack.

Arsenal dominated the early exchanges, controlling possession and creating multiple chances, but Manchester United stayed patient, biding their time.

Bryan Mbeumo’s sharp finish punished a defensive slip from Martin Zubimendi to level the score just before halftime. The momentum had shifted, and Patrick Dorgu then stunned the Emirates with a 20-yard left-footed half-volley that gave United the lead, with VAR confirming it was a legitimate strike off his hip.

As the clock ticked down, Matheus Cunha sealed the win with a breathtaking solo goal, dribbling past Gabriel before smashing the ball into the bottom corner.

The goal sparked wild celebrations from the traveling United supporters, and even Carrick, who had been calm for most of the match, couldn’t contain himself, jumping with fists clenched as the Emirates emptied around him.

The victory moves Manchester United into the top four of the Premier League standings, jumping two places in the table. The result builds on their impressive form, following a 2-0 win over Manchester City in their previous match, and boosts their confidence in securing a Champions League qualification spot.

For league leaders Arsenal, the loss at the Emirates Stadium reduces their lead at the top of the table to just four points. This result, following a recent run of draws in the league, makes the title race much tighter and puts increased pressure on Mikel Arteta’s side to maintain consistency.
