Black stars forward Antoine Semenyo says the Black Stars are ready not only to compete on the pitch but also to proudly display the country’s vibrant culture when the FIFA World Cup kicks off in June.

Ghana have been drawn in a challenging Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama, setting up what promises to be a demanding but exciting group-stage campaign for the four-time African champions.

Speaking in an interview with CBS Sports, the forward described the World Cup as a special occasion and expressed strong belief that Ghana will make a positive impact both on and off the field.

We’re going to come in big bunches, I’ll tell you that. In big tournaments like this we want to show our culture, show that we’re different to other nations ;  whether it’s dancing, singing or just supporting in the stands. It’s endless,” he said.

Semenyo highlighted the deep connection Ghanaians have with football, noting that the passion from supporters back home often fuels the players on the international stage.

Ghana runs through so many people’s veins back home and we just love football. The World Cup is going to be amazing. Hopefully, God willing, we do well. I’m really looking forward to playing in America.

With expectations already building, Semenyo’s comments reflect the optimism within the squad as the Black Stars prepare to combine performance with personality  aiming to make Ghana visible not just through results, but through the unmistakable energy of its fans and culture.
