Steph Curry missed a significant portion of the 2025-2026 NBA season to injury but returned in time to give the Golden State Warriors chance to progress to the playoffs life by steering the Warriors to an important win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Warriors beat the Clippers 126-121 in the first round of the Play-In Tournament and take on the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, April 18 for the final playoffs spot.

Steph Curry registered 35 points and four assists in 36 minutes in the win over the Clippers; Kristaps Porzingis chipped in 20 points, five rebounds and five assists.

In his post-game address, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr praised Curry for his brilliant performance stating,

“This is why Steph came back. Everyone out there who thought Steph should take the rest of the year off — this is what he does. This is who he is. An incredible display of guts and competitiveness and connection. Then obviously Steph and Dray [Draymond Green] took over down the stretch.”
