He commended the Phobians’ technical team when he visited the team’s training session ahead of its clash against Karela United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, May 6.
Hearts of Oak beat Nations FC 1-0 to move within two points of second ranked Bibiani Gold Stars in the GPL standings ahead of the Karela clash.
Gaspar, who is a long-term confidant of Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz, was recently appointed to Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team’s staff ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and shared his impressions about the Hearts staff.
“It’s a pleasure and an honour to be here; I’m really impressed. To be a good teacher, you have to be passionate and there is no question about it that your coach is very passionate in terms of his ability to teach you, to give you discipline and to give you structure” Gaspar said.

He also interacted with Hearts captain and Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.

🎥 🇬🇭 “My specialty is goalkeeping, and I love the progression, willingness, capacity, commitment, and attitude of the goalkeepers.”
