Caleb Yirenkyi became the latest Ghanaian player to win the FC Nordsjaelland’s Player of the Award after starring in the 2025-2026 season.
The versatile player scooped up the prestigious award in a campaign that has had him grow into an important player for the club and Ghana.
Yirenkyi, who has played as a right full back, central midfielder and centre back this season, emerged the winner of the annual award.
The 20 year old Yirenkyi has two goals and six assists in 29 league games to his credit and featured in the club’s 2-1 win over Viborg in the club’s latest outing.
By being named Nordsjaelland’s Player of the Year Award winner, Yirenkyi became the latest Black Stars player to receive the prestigious honour.

Winger Ernest Nuamah won the award following the 2022-2023 league season prior to his move to French side Olympique Lyon.

Since making his debut for Ghana, Yirenkyi has grown to become an integral part of the Black Stars and is set to be part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.
