Like his brother and father, Jordan Ayew is the captain of the Black Stars with his uncle Kwame Ayew also starring for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team.
Jordan Ayew is preparing to compete at the FIFA World Cup for the third time in his career as Ghana is set to play at the 2026 World Cup against Croatia, Panama and England.
The former Leicester City and Aston Villa player played a key role in Ghana’s qualification to this year’s World Cup and indicated that dealing with the constant pressure of his family’s name has been there since childhood.
“I don’t compare myself to my dad. I have never said that I want to be like Andre or uncle Kwame.”

“I have always wanted to do my own life, my own career and try to be the best version of myself, to be the best for me and to try to make my family proud. The only thing I can be is be a good version of myself” Jordan Ayew said.
