Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has spoken extensively about the qualities of Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz in the lead up to the Black Stars 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.
Speaking to GFA media, Kurt Okraku described the former Real Madrid head coach and former Manchester United assistant head coach Carlos Queiroz as an individual who was “extremely firm” in his beliefs. (Scroll down to watch video)
Queiroz took over as Black Stars in April from Otto Addo and guided Ghana to clinch a 1-1 draw with Wales in his first game in charge.
Ghana will compete at the World Cup against Panama, Croatia and England in Group L and Kurt Okraku is happy the Black Stars have a coach of Queiroz’s pedigree.
“So far, it’s been good, he’s a man of his words with over 40 years of experience at the highest level of football both at club level and international level.”

“His skillset is there for everybody to see. He is extremely firm in his belief.”

“When we say that somebody has seen it all, he really fits that bill and I like the fact that when he walks into that changing room, he has natural respect” Kurt Okraku said.
