Carlo Ancelotti says it is a beautiful experience to be at the FIFA World Cup as a head coach.
The former player who featured for Italy at the 1986 and 1990 World Cups is set to compete in the World Cup for the first time as a head coach with his Brazil team scheduled to play its opening game against Morocco on Saturday, June 13.
Ancelotti took over as Brazil’s head coach after leaving Real Madrid for the second time with Brazil aiming to win the FIFA World Cup for a record extending sixth time.
Despite winning the FIFA World Cup five times, Brazil have advanced beyond the quarterfinals just once since winning the title in 2002 but Ancelotti believes his team has the quality to excel in this tournament.
“It’s a new experience for me. It’s something special. Obviously it carries a lot of responsibility.”

“It’s an honour to represent the country of football and the most decorated national team in the world. It’s an honour and a responsibility. It’s a beautiful moment for me.”

“This is a team which can compete with anyone. We have a good feeling about this World Cup. We’re ready and prepared” Ancelotti said at a pre-game presser.
