England’s hero in its win over Norway in the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Jude Bellingham, says the result came on the back of a tough shift.
England recovered from a goal down to win 2-1 and seal its place in the semifinals of the World Cup for the second time in three editions.
Real Madrid midfielder Bellingham continued his brilliant campaign at the tournament by scoring both goals for the Three Lions.
His first came in added-on time in the first half to tie the game and was the first to pounce on a spill by Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland to sweep in the winner in extra time.
The game was stretched in the latter stages as players battled hot weather conditions in Miami with temperatures hovering around 32 degrees Celsius and Bellingham noted it in a post-game interview with ITV.

“It’s difficult out there, it’s a tough shift. All the players have put in a tough shift. My thoughts and appreciation goes to the players our there who put in a great shift” he said.

Bellingham has six goals in six games in the competition.
