After winning the 2025-2026 PFA Players’ Player of the Year Award, Bruno Fernandes, says he hopes that more Manchester United players win the prestigious award.
The Portuguese midfielder became the first Man United player to win the award since Wayne Rooney emerged as the winner in 2010.
Fernandes beat Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice to scoop the grand prize on the back of scoring nine goals and registering a league record 21 assists.
Former Sporting Lisbon midfielder Fernandes, was the only Man United player to make the PFA Team of the Year with the list dominated by players from English Premier League Champions Arsenal.
“Winning this, being voted by the ones that every week go out on the pitch against me, is something that makes me very proud.”
“They’ve been there, they’re playing against me, they’ve seen what I’m capable of doing, and for them to vote for me is something I’m very grateful for.”
“I hope that from now on we can have even more players from our club having this kind of recognition, because it’s also important and means that we’re doing something very good” Fernandes said.
