Tottenham Hotspurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi has applauded the performance of Ghana winger Mohammed Kudus in Spurs’ latest English Premier League outing.
De Zerbi praised the Black Stars player in a press conference following Tottenham’s goalless draw with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Kudus, who recently recovered from a knee injury to play in a competitive game for the first time in seven months, came off the bench as a replacement for Savio and played 29 minutes against Forest.
Former West Ham player Kudus, completed all eight pass attempts in the game while completing one of two dribble attempts and his output impressed De Zerbi who said to Sky Sports,
“In the second half,… the medical team pushed to change Savio and Destiny Udogie after 60 minutes. [Mohammed] Kudus and [Andy] Robertson played very well but maybe two substitutions in that moment was not so good.”
Kudus came off the bench in the 68th minute for his 2026-2027 season debut in Spurs’ 2-0 loss to Newcastle United.
