Queens Park Rangers head coach Julien Stephan is unsure about the extent of Tariq Lamptey’s latest injury.
The Ghana international was substituted in the 35th minute of QPR’s goalless draw away to Charlton Athletic in the EFL Championship. The result kept QPR fourth in the standings, but the club also lost Jimmy Dunne to injury during the game.
Speaking after the match, Stephan expressed concern about having enough fit players available for QPR’s weekend clash with West Bromwich Albion.
“Now we have to find a way to present a competitive team on Saturday. I will reflect on that. “It’s difficult for me to give you more information about them (Lamptey and Dunne) because we have to assess them, but it doesn’t present very well” Stephan said.”
Since joining QPR as a free agent this season, Lamptey has registered an assist in five games; he was in line to be called up for Ghana’s 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Cote D’Ivoire and The Gambia.
