Ghana defender Alidu Seidu has been backed to do “great things” at his new club, OGC Nice, following his move from French Ligue 1 side Rennes.
The 26-year-old joins Nice after representing Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. His move comes shortly after fellow Black Stars defender Kojo Oppong Peprah left Nice for Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Nice president Maurice Cohen also expressed his excitement about the club’s latest signing, telling the club’s media,
“Alidu is a very good player with a great mentality, and we’re certain that he’ll adapt quickly and that he’s a perfect fit for what the coach wants to put in place.”
“He’s in the prime of his life. I think that the fans will enjoy his style, and I know that he’ll do great things with Le Gym.”
