Spain National Men’s Football Team head coach Luis De La Fuente has officially extended his contract with the team.
The contract extension was announced on Monday, September 21 and keeps De La Fuente at the helm for six more years.
The new deal keeps De La Fuente in charge of the reigning World Champions till the end of the 2032 European Championship.
After taking over as Spain head coach in 2022, De La Fuente has guided Spain to win the 2024 European Championship and this year’s World Cup.
Spain won its second FIFA World Cup title for the second time by beating Argentina 1-0 in this year’s final with a core unit that won gold at the 2024 Olympics under De La Fuente.
“We want the Spanish national team to be a family and that is honestly how we feel. We are not content with what we have achieved so far. The best is yet to come” De La Fuente said.
