The Football Association says the independent commission’s verdict against Manchester City has “significant implications for the integrity of the game.”
In a statement, the FA said it is “carefully considering the decision and its implications” and will “take action where appropriate.”

Manchester City has until Friday, October 2, to appeal after being found guilty of serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules over nine years.
The club has indicated it will appeal, maintaining that the commission’s findings contain “errors of law, principle and fact.”
The FA says it will not comment further while proceedings between the Premier League and Manchester City remain ongoing.
“We will, however, continue to monitor developments closely,” the statement added.
