World number two Jannik Sinner will part ways with coach Darren Cahill at the end of the 2026 season, bringing their five-year partnership to a close.
Cahill joined the Italian’s coaching team in June 2022, working alongside Simone Vagnozzi to guide his rise to the top of men’s tennis.
During their time together, Sinner won five Grand Slam titles and two ATP Finals crowns. He also became the first player to complete the Career Golden Masters, winning all nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and reached world number one for the first time in June 2024.

In a statement announcing the decision on Friday, November 6, Sinner thanked Cahill for his belief, honesty and dedication, describing him as an important influence on his career.

The 24-year-old also highlighted the friendship and trust they had built beyond their professional relationship. Cahill described coaching Sinner as a special honour, praising his humility, dedication and commitment to their partnership.
Meanwhile, former world number two Magnus Norman will join Sinner’s coaching team in early December, working alongside Vagnozzi.
The Swedish coach previously guided Stan Wawrinka to three Grand Slam titles and will bring his experience as Sinner begins a new chapter in his career.
Cahill will remain with the team until the end of the season, bringing an end to a successful partnership that helped establish Sinner as one of the leading players in men’s tennis.
Jannik Sinner officially ended his 2026 season on October 6, 2026, due to a persistent right knee injury after winning six titles, including five consecutive ATP Masters 1000 events (Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo, Madrid, Rome) and Wimbledon, finishing with a 44–3 record.
