Hearts of Oak need prayers- Assistant Coach Odoom

Assistant Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Edward Odoom, has identified prayer as Hearts’ solution to their poor run of form.

The Phobians have gone four games without a win, after their draw against Bechem United on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The result moved the Accra based side further down the table to 10th place.

Odoom, who has supervised the team’s last two games due to the ill health of Head Coach Henry Wellington, says only prayers can salvage the team’s dwindling league hopes.

“Everybody needs prayers in their lives. I told my players that they did very well, they are playing very well but everybody needs prayers.

“Hearts of Oak needs prayers. I am a Christian and every body needs prayers. When you wake up in the morning you have to pray to your God,” he said.

Hearts next game is against their biggest rivals Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium.
