Accra Hearts of Oak have announced the mutual termination of the contracts of four first team players, including forward Cosmos Dauda.

The other three include Evans Quao, Theophilus Jackson and Joshua Otoo.

Dauda has endured a tough couple of years at the club where he has struggled for goals, managing just a solitary goal in over a year.

Chief Executive Officer of the club, Mark Noonan took to social media to confirm the club’s decision, saying in a tweet, “I can confirm we have given 4 players: Evans Quao, Theophilus Jackson, Joshua Otoo and Cosmos Dauda, permission to seek opportunities outside of Hearts.

“They are good men and professionals. With the window open we felt it best to communicate our plans with them directly and transparently.

“We thank them for their service and will work with them throughout this transition period.  Very difficult decisions all.”

The move is expected to make way for the possible arrival of new faces at the club.
