Ghana’s Asante Kotoko will take on Kenya’s Kariobangi Sharks in the second round of qualifiers for the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup.

The match was finally made after Sharks defeated Arta Solar 7 of Djibouti over two legs.

The second leg, which was played in Djibouti, on Wednesday ended 3-0 to Sharks to make the aggregate score 9-1.

Kotoko’s place in the second round had already been sealed after their would-be opponents, Eding Sport, of Cameroon, failed to get registered in time for the competition by the Cameroon FA (FECAFOOT).

The first leg of the tie between Kariobangi Sharks and Kotoko will be played in Cameroon on the weekend of December 14 to 16 while the second leg in Ghana is set for the weekend of 21-23.

The winner of the tie will progress to the final round of qualifiers against teams that fell out of the CAF Champions League qualifiers and success sends the team to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
