Head coach of Ghana’s Black Queens Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo has confirmed that goalkeeper Fafali Dumehasi will be her first choice option as they attempt to defend their WAFU Zone B title.

The Queens take on Senegal in their opening match of the competition which is being hosted by Cote D’Ivoire.

The Police Ladies shot stopper appears to have the full confidence of her coach heading into the competition.

“Fafa is our number one goalkeeper now.

“You can tell from her demeanor and actions that she is really ready for this tournament.

“Last year she was here but could not have the opportunity to man the posts.

This time it is her turn and it is an opportunity she needs to grab with full confidence.

We have already spoken to her and fortunately we had a psychologist in camp at Cape-Coast so she has been properly psyched.

We believe she will perform,” she revealed after the team’s training session.

The Queens have been drawn in Group A alongside Cote D’Ivoire,Senegal and Togo.
