Ghana has won its second medal at the ongoing African Games, a bronze in the men’s weightlifting, brought home by David Akwei in the men’s 61 kg.
This brings to 4, the total number of medals won by Ghana at the games, after Winnifred Ntumi got 3 bronze medals in the women’s weightlifting event on Sunday.
Akwei finished 4th with 227 points, behind APPAH Emmanuel Inemo of Nigeria, ERIC HERMAN Andriantsitohaina, and JULES ANTHONIO Andriamahefa who finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
