2019 GIJ-SRC Sports Week: Level 300 crowned champions

Level 300 (regular) has been crowned as champions of the 2019 GIJ-SRC Sports Week after defeating Diploma 1 by two-goals-to-one.

After a two-day event organized by the Sports Commission of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, the final game was almost abandoned due to heavy downpour.

After the rains rescinded, the match officials agreed for the final match to commence.

The Diploma 1 team took a surprise lead 10 minutes into the game.

Things fell apart for the Diploma side as the rains came down for the second time.

The centre could not hold, neither could the left flank nor the right flank as Elikem, Emmanuel Budu-Annor, and Eyram Dzaka did terrible things to the defenders of the Diploma 1 team.

Twisting and turning and causing all sort of havoc to the Diploma squad.

Elikem latched on a defensive error to stage what was a god-like performance from the level 300’s.

In the build-up to the winning strike, Eyram received a pass from Derrick before hitting the ball past the goalkeeper.
