Asante Kotoko’s 3-1 win over Legon Cities on Friday was the main event at the start of an exciting Ghana Premier League weekend.

However, it wasn’t just the action between the two teams on the field that kept fans ‘ooo-hing’ and ‘aaa-hing’ throughout the night.

With his appearance and subsequent performance during the match having been publicised widely, the ‘Dancehall King’, Shatta Wale graced his stage, this time the whole of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Arriving at the Stadium in a typically boisterous fashion, Shatta soon had fans singing and dancing along to his hits.

His earlier public declaration of support for Legon Cities, who were the home side for the game, appeared to spur him on even more as he left such a lasting impression that it’s clear this is not the last time we’ll be seeing an artiste strutting their stuff on a football pitch.
