With the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) and 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers set to commence, the Nigeria Football Federation has unveiled their extraordinary Nike kit which tops the hugely popular one they wore from 2018-2020.

Nikeโ€™s replacement of the โ€˜Naijaโ€™ kits is a stupendous โ€˜Swooshโ€™ design which the country will don for the 2021 AFCON, 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and any other tournament across all divisions.

Nigeria put themselves on top of the tree in the world of football kits when they participated in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia with their stunning apparel.

The follow-up design for just the home jersey is another thing of beauty, as the Super Eagles went with a striking hand-drawn striping pattern on their primary shirts. From the green-white-green color pattern on the jerseys to the incredibly vibrant look, this is an example of pushing the envelope on design in a positive manner.

On Wednesday, Nike revealed designs for the United States,ย South Korea, and Nigeria national teams, with the remaining federations set to be launched over the coming months.

“The extensive array of federations donning the Swoosh each have unique histories and cultures,” read a statement on the Nike News website.ย “In 2020, their distinctive attributes are celebrated with highly differentiated collections.

“Building upon the learnings from the successful 2018 Nigeria Collection, Nike undertook deep cultural immersions and collaborated with each federation to ensure the designs truly resonated.

“From hand-drawn prints to custom fonts, each teamโ€™s look will be its own,” the statement continued.ย “Counter to templatization, Nike designers had 65 chassis options available to them across varying necklines, sleeves, cuffs, badge placement, etc.”

In June 2018, Nike confirmed that their Naija collection had broken records, with the manufacturers revealing 3 million pre-orders for the jersey, a new record for an African nation.
