Players of Gremio and Internacional engaged in a massive brawl at the end of their Copa Libertadores group stage match.
The match was largely uneventful until the 88th minute when the fight started between Gremio’s Luciano and Internacional’s Edenilson.
Other players from both sides joined in before the substitutes also ran onto the pitch to assist their mates.
The players grabbed, punched, kicked and pushed each other as the officials struggled to get the situation under control.
Eventually, eight players were sent off by the referee, three for Gremio and five for Internacional.
Pepe, Luciano da Rocha Neves, Caio Henrique Oliveira Silva and Paulo Miranda were sent off for the hosts.
For Internacional, Edenilson, Moises Roberto Barbosa, Victor Cuesta and Bruno Conceciao Praxedes received red cards.
The match itself ended 0-0.
