Inter Allies pair of Victorien Adebayor and Henkrik Lehm have been named the NASCO best player and coach respectively for the month of February in the Ghana Premier League.

The decision was announced on Tuesday by the Ghana FA.

Adebayor held off competition from  Benjamin Bernard Boateng (Elmina Sharks), Sulley Ibrahim (Great Olympics), Caleb Amankwah (Aduana Stars) and Salifu Ibrahim (Eleven Wonders) to pick up the award.

In the month under review, he scored five goals including the lovely individual effort at Berekum Chelsea in a 3-1 win for Allies and also contributed two assists.

All these efforts got him three Man-of-the-Match awards in the month.

For the coach’s award, Lehm was handed the gong after he guided Allies to three victories, a draw and a defeat in the month under review. The victories included one each at Berekum Chelsea and Techiman Eleven Wonders.

Lehm was chosen from a field that also had Yaw Acheampong (Elmina Sharks), Edward Odoom (Hearts of Oak), Ignatius Osei Fosu (Eleven Wonders) and Dr. Prosper Narteh (WAFA SC).

What’s next for Adebayor and Lehm?

They head to the Karl Reindorf Park to face Liberty Professionals in Week 14 of the Ghana Premier League.
