Black Stars striker, Jordan Ayew is on the verge of making history.
The player is just one goal away from becoming Ghana’s highest ever goalscorer in the Premier League.
He equalled former Leeds forward, Anthony Yeboah’s tally of 24 goals, scored across just two seasons in the English top-flight, last Saturday with the only goal of the game for Crystal Palace against Watford.
Jordan’s tally has come in significantly fewer games than “Yegoala’s” but it does, in no way, lessen the impact of the feat.
Jordan’s brother, Andre and Ghana’s highest ever goalscorer, Asamoah Gyan have both played in the Premier League but neither have got as close to the record as Jordan has.
With nine matches left, there are nine opportunities for Jordan to break the 24-year-old record.
Will he break it next weekend, in the final game of the season or will he have to wait until next season?
Ayew has scored twice in his last two Premier League matches and given his red hot form this season, don’t count out the Ghanaian, finding the net again before the campaign is over.
So when and against which teams could Jordan break the record?
