The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has recalled Super Featherweight division boxer Patrick Allotey after he served his six-month ban for punching a football fan at a Ghana Premier League game.

Allotey was filmed throwing punches at a football at the Accra Sports Stadium on January 26, as Hearts of Oak locked horns with Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Following a disciplinary hearing, the GBA slapped the 29-year-old with a six month ban on February 6, 2020.

The ban ended two weeks ago and the GBA has issued a statement, recalling the super featherweight boxer to the sport.

The GBA in their recall letter hoped the ban would “mark a new chapter” in Allotey’s career.
