Nike Celebrates Nigeria with the “Naija” Air Presto

Nike is set to release an original Air Presto in celebration of Nigerian culture and sport.

Earlier this year, Nike unveiled its redesigned soccer kits for the US, South Korea, and Nigerian national teams composed of uniforms, cleats, and apparel. In a few releases since then (most notably the Zoom Freak 2) Nike has invoked a “Naija” theme that borrows similar beautiful green-patterned design language from the Nigerian football team’s new uniforms.

Now, however, this trend is set to hit the Air Presto.

While official details are scarce, photos show the model’s royal green upper marked with tonal patterning found on the Nigerian kit.

The model also sports a green cage and green laces atop a black toe-guard and mid-sole. Finally, the shoe is rounded off by a white forefoot out sole and “Naija” heel branding.

With so many releases originally slated to commemorate the 2020 Summer Olympics and the South Korea Air Presto recently dropping, it’s possible we’ll get a USA-themed rendition of the model in the future, too. For now, though, take a look at photos of the gorgeous emerald-colored Nigeria model down below as we await release details.
