Ghanaian actor/comedian, Akwasi Boadi, has attracted the attention of Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, just a day after Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta reacted to the actor’s mispronunciation of his name.

Akrobeto hosts a segment, The Real News, on UTV’s Friday news bulletin where he embellishes news items with comedy.

Every once in a while, he is given a sports script to read and that has often made for a fun watch, mainly due to the sheer difficulty of some of the names on the script.

In a video posted on twitter, Akrobeto is seen announcing fixtures of Bundesliga matches and his pronunciation of Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach has forced the club’s official twitter handle to respond.

The Leverkusen handle quoted the tweet with the correct pronunciation of their name before adding the laughing emoji, clearly seeing the funny side of Akrobeto’s act.

FYI: it’s “bye-er lay-ver-koo-sen” 😅 https://t.co/cZjLCvztT0
