Head Coach of Aduana Stars, Paa Kwesi Fabin has revealed that tactical ingenuity helped his side record victory against Kotoko.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko missed the chance to go top of the Ghana Premier League table after succumbing to a 1-0 defeat to rivals Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday night.

According to Fabin, the plan was to ensure Kotoko did not play through the middle.

“I told you why we play five in the midfield, it’s because their game is in the midfield, they swing passes and give a long one to Kwame Poku who has the speed to lash onto it and score.

“So we needed to deny the supply from midfield and we did exactly that.” He said in a post match interview.

Aduana now sit in 4th place on the league log just two places behind leaders Karela United and Fabin says he needs the full compliment of his team to stand a chance of competing for the title this season.

“We still need a few players to compelete the team to make it to make it a formidable one so we are trying and we will see what happens.”
