Liverpool players ‘hate’ the club’s new training complex and this is why

Liverpool players hate the club’s new £50million Axa Training Complex because of the amount of wind they have to deal with, it has been claimed.

The Reds moved from Melwood to their new facility in Kirkby back in November, but the move hasn’t been backed up by results on the pitch.

The new complex includes two gyms, a pool, hydrotherapy suites and rehabilitation facilities.

There are two full-size football pitches on the grounds, and two beach volleyball courts.

But according to The Sun, Liverpool players aren’t happy with life at the new facility and long for a return to Melwood, but there are no complaints over the actual facilities.

The training ground is located in an area known as ‘Windy Harbour’, and players seem to be struggling with the conditions.

Liverpool’s move to Kirkby has seen a direct negative spiral in form.

The defending Premier League champions have lost seven of their first 13 games since the move to the new training complex.

They’ve won just four and drawn two, as their title defence is crumbling around them.

A torrid run of form has seen them fall to sixth place in the Premier League table, with only goal difference keeping them above Everton – who have a game in hand.
