Communication Director for Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has appealed to fans to remain confident in the board as they put measures in place to improve the club.

This comes after fans of the club expressed anger at the decisions taken by the board in the past ten years following the resignation of Serbian coach Kosta Papic.

Fans are also upset at the poor run of results and the lack of silverware at the club in the last decade.

According to Opare Addo , stability following the departure of Papic was paramount and the club believes it has been able to achieve that.

“I want to appeal to Hearts of Oak fans, not many gave us the chance to stand firm like we are currently doing because of the absence of Papic and two others.” He said in an exclusive interview with CitiSports.

“We are calling on the fans to stand firm and believe in the polices of the board, because the direction in which the board Chairman is leading this team in is the best that we can find.”

Hearts of Oak will play WAFA in their next game on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
