Antoine Griezmann set for Atletico return

Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement with Barcelona to sign Antoine Griezmann on loan until June 2022 with an option to sign him permanently for €40m afterwards.

Antoine return to Atletico on the cards

Talks are ongoing between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona for Antoine Griezmann’s sensational return to the Spanish capital.

Barca have been desperate to offload the Frenchman in a bid to cut their wage bill while a return to Atletico might help him rediscover his best form.

Chelsea will pay an initial loan fee of €5 million and have an option to make the deal permanent for €35m.

Real Madrid walk away from Mbappe deal

Real Madrid appear to have accepted that they will not sign Kylian Mbappe this summer.

Reports indicate that PSG rejected Madrid’s final offer of £189 million.

The Frenchman, who is in the final year of his contract with PSG, will now be able to negotiate with Real in January and join the Spanish giants for free next summer.

Lookman moves to Leicester

RB Leipzig winger Ademola Lookman has joined Leicester City.

Lookman, who previously played at Fulham, joins the Foxes on loan from the German side.

Chelsea agree ‘deal to sign Saul’

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid.

The Blues will pay a €5m loan fee to Atletico according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and have already agreed personal terms with the player.

Torino sign Praet

Torino have completed the signing of Leicester player Dennis Praet.

The midfielder joins the Italian club on a season-long loan from the FA Cup champions.

Sergi and Jordi to the rescue

Barcelona have announced that Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba have taken pay cuts to enable the club to register players like Sergio Aguero.

“The salary reductions for Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, two of the four first-team captains, signed this Tuesday have allowed FC Barcelona to achieve two objectives: the registration of Sergio Aguero with the Spanish Football League (LFP) and to extend the Club’s limit with regards to financial fair play regulations.

“Sergio and Jordi Alba have agreed to changes in the financial terms of their contracts which included a wage reduction for this season and the deferment of payments for the remaining years.”

Leeds confirm Daniel James signing

Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Manchester United winger, Daniel James.

James joins Leeds on a five-year contract for a fee of around £28m.

Leeds finally get their man who had virtually completed a moved from Swansea in the 2018/19 season before it fell through in bizarre circumstances.

Saul Niguez keen on Chelsea move

Reports from Spain indicate that Saul Niguez is keen on moving to Premier League club Chelsea.

Saul’s agents are working to complete a loan move to the European Champions.

Atletico who had earlier insisted on keeping the player are now looking for a replacement.

Tariqe Fosu to leave Brentford?

Ghana midfielder, Tarique Fosu, is expected to leave Brentford by the end of the European transfer window.

The 25-year-old winger is yet to make an appearance for Brentford in the Premier League this season amid uncertainty surrounding his future.

According to the Ghana Football Association, the midfielder has been excused from international duty to sort out his club future.

Koundé move to Chelsea off?

European Chelsea looked set to have agreed a deal for Sevilla defender Jules Koundé but Sevilla’s Director of Football, Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo, has now insisted that the player will only move once his release clause is activated.

It’s now expected that Chelsea will walk away from the deal, with the Frenchman’s release clause said to be around €80 million.

Ronaldo completes Man Utd return

Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken of his joy at rejoining Man United. In a post on Instagram, Ronaldo described his return as a “dream come true” while giving a special mention to former United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson.
