Ghana Premier League runners up Kumasi Asante Kotoko have signed defender Maxwell Agyemang on a three year deal from Division One side Wamanafo Mighty Royals.

The centre back has been signed to bolster the backline which despite falling short was the tightest in the Ghana Premier League last season, only conceding 22 goals.

Kotoko made the announcement on their official twitter account along with a video touting the credentials of their new signing.

The signing comes in the wake of rumors that stalwart centre back Abdul Ismail Ganiyu is on his way out of Kotoko.

Agyemang joins midfielder Richmond Nii Lamptey as the club’s second signing of the window.

The Porcupine Warriors have been linked to WAFA SC striker Justus Torsutsey in a bid to bolster their lackluster front line which managed only 37 goals, the 11th best attack in the league last season.
