Medeama SC have completed the signing of attacker Akesse Akesse from Division One League side Nzema Kotoko.

The 21-year-old made the headlines in the DOL last season when he scored all the goals in a 6-2 home win over Star Madrid.

He went on to complete the season with 12 goals and provided 9 assists in 25 matches.

Speaking on his move to the Tarkwa-based Ghana Premier League outfit, Akesse told the club’s website:

“I am super thrilled to start this new challenge with Medeama.

“I have been looking forward to it and I am happy it has finally happened.

“I am one of you and I can’t wait to start working with the rest of the group.

“I am looking forward to meeting my teammates and ensuring that we excel for our supporters.

“I can’t wait to wear the shirt and give more than 100%.”

CEO James Essilfie also stated: “We welcome Akesse Akesse to the club and believe that he will thrive under our environment. We have absolute confidence in his talent and quality and believe he will suit our plans.

“He is a proven goalscorer who will thrive immensely on the Medeama platform.

“We want to challenge for honours from all fronts and are looking to build a team that can compete and erase last season’s heartbreak.”
