GFA President, Kurt Okraku, says he is proud of his relationship with the hierarchy of the sports ministry.
He made this statement during a meeting between the GFA executive committee and the visiting CAF President, Patrice Mothsepe.
Okraku, who has been GFA president for two years, told those gathered:
“No FA Can succeed without the support of the government of the day”
There has traditionally been a lot of tension between the Sports Ministry and the GFA in recent years.
However, Okraku explained that maintaining a cordial relationship with the Ministry was a conscious effort on his part, therefore he had worked towards it.
“We wanted a perfect relationship with our government”
The meeting was part of the events organized by the GFA for the two-day working visit by the current CAF president.
