Coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has called up thirty-two (32) players to the Black Queens camp ahead of their April friendlies against Morocco.

The invited players are to report at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram on Monday, March 28 at 16:00 GMT to kick-start preparations.

The Ghana senior women’s national team will take on their Moroccan counterparts in back-to-back international friendlies during a “one-week training tour” in the early part of April.

The Black Queens have no immediate assignment after failing to qualify for the upcoming 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) scheduled for July 2-23.

The Women’s Afcon, which doubles as the African qualifiers to the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup, is to be hosted by the Moroccans.

Facing Ghana comes as part of testing the readiness of the side coached by Renald Pedros after playing Senegal in November 2021 and Malta in February.

Morocco are expected to host the Black Queens at Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat.
