CAF Awards: Hasaacas Ladies make final 3 for Women’s club of the year

Sekondi based club, Hasaacas Ladies have made the final three nominees for the 2022 CAF awards for Women’s Club of the Year.

Yusif Basigi’s side were outstanding in the 2020/2021 season after winning both Ghana Women’s Premier League and the FA Cup.

They also won the WAFU B tournament which served as a qualifier for the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt where they managed to reach the final of the tournament but were defeated by South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.

The South African team also made the top three along with AS FAR (Morocco), who finished third in the tournament.

Doris Boaduwaa and Evelyn Badu who were key players for Hasaacas Ladies have also made the final three for the Women’s Young Player of the Year award, while Badu is nominated for Women’s Interclub Player of the Year.

The awards will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022,  in Rabat, Morocco.
