See how Eric Bailly left Thiago in the dust as Man Utd thrashed Liverpool [VIDEO]

Reading Time: 2 mins read

Eric Bailly was a second half substitute for Manchester United in their emphatic 4-0 win over Liverpool in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

The Ivorian centre-back was in fantastic form, keeping Liverpool’s attack at bay for much of the half, sometimes almost singlehandedly.

With Man United 3-0 up and searching for a fourth, Bailly took matters into his own hands.

The defender intercepted a pass on the edge of his box and drove forward, despatching Liverpool midfielder, Thiago with a drop of his shoulder and a stepover.

Laying off the ball to Facundo Pellistri, Bailly continued storming forward, creating some confusion in the Reds’ defence.

Pellistri passed to Amad Diallo, who shifted the ball back into the Uruguayan’s path for a finish past the Liverpool goalkeeper.

However, it was Bailly who earned all the praise for the move.

Take a look at the goal below:

See how advanced Bailly moved up field, could have easily made it count himself if the ball was returned to him.
Hope this is not flash in the pan for us @ManUtd fans

Deep down I wanted Bailey to score instead.

It’s evident that Bailly lacks confidence, he played this match without pressure. If he had the same confidence level in the PL then he’s gonna be a beast
