Ghanaian duo, Benjamin Azamati and Joseph Paul Amoah, have failed to progress to the semi-final of the men’s 100m event at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
Azamati finished fourth in Heat 6 of the men’s 100m, where he run alongside Olympic champion, Andre de Grasse.

He finished with a time of 10.18s, narrowly missing out on a semi-final spot.
Joseph Amoah also failed to progress from his heat after running a time of 10.22s and finishing 6th in heat 7.
Ferdinand Omanyala also run in Heat 7 and finished in 3rd place to reach the semi-final.

Both sprinters will now turn their attention to the men’s 4×100 meter relay heats scheduled for July 23, while Joseph Paul Amoah will also compete in the heats for the men’s 200m on July 19.
