Technical Director for Ghana’s Black Princesses, Nora Hauptle believes the team has improved ahead of the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The team is currently training in Costa Rica for the tournament which begins on Wednesday, August 10.
Hauptle is confident the team is in better shape and will be ready for their first game against USA in Group D on Thursday at 5pm.
“We need to understand that game against the USA will be on another level.” Hauptle said.
“We have improved in our defending and pressing but we can do better with our transitions and with scoring.
“But we are satisfied and will now focus on how we want to play against the USA.”
The Black Princesses will face defending Champions Japan on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 5pm before playing Netherlands in their final group game on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
Ghana will be looking to make it past the group stages for the first time in six tries.
