Ghana Women’s Premier League Champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, have reached the semi-finals of the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers, after recording a 1-0 win over Athleta FC of Togo on Sunday.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies finished second in Group B behind Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria who topped the group on goal difference.

Mavis Owusu’s header from a Constance Agyemang cross in the 72nd minute was enough to secure all three points for the Techiman-based side as they progressed to the semis of the competition.

The team will take on Cote D’Ivoire’s African Sports d’Abidjan.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies, will be looking to follow in the footsteps of last season’s representatives, Hasaacas Ladies, by winning the WAFU B qualifying tournament.
