Beating Steen will bring me closer to winning world title – Agbeko

Ghanaian boxer, Sena “The African Assassin” Agbeko believes beating American, Isaiah Steen this weekend will get him closer to a world title shot.

Agbeko fights Steen in a 10-Round Super Middleweight contest on Saturday, October 22 at 2:30 GMT at the Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel in New Jersey.

30-year-old Agbeko, who is based in Nashville, Tennessee in the United States, is aiming for a third-straight win this year and he believes a win over Steen gives him a shot at fighting a big-name fighter in the near future.

“For me, this is just another step in that direction of winning a world title. Right now Canelo (Alvarez) has all the belts and ultimately I would love to fight him. I would love to fight any of the other top guys but I have a plan and none of that matters if I don’t get past Isaiah Steen. My sole objective right now is to get that win and steer myself in the direction that I want to go” he said in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports. (Click highlighted text to watch interview)

Agbeko won the WBC USNBC Super Middleweight belt in July this year, and has 26 wins and two losses in his professional career.
