Basketball star Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union landed on the shores of Ghana for a brief visit.
Their arrival at the Kotoka International Airportwas captured by onlookers and shared on Twitter.
Wade, Union and their child Kaavia were met at the Airport by a traditional dance group clad in a Ghanaian traditional cloth Kente and were draped with a kente-laced sash
Wade and Union are on their tour of the world they have dubbed Wade Tour 2022 and their arrival follows Union’s trip to Zanzibar to celebrate her 50th birthday.
In a career that lasted 16 years in the NBA, Wade won three NBA titles in 2006, 2012 and 2013 with the latter titles coming as part of Miami Heat’s powerful trio alongside LeBron James and Chris Bosh.
He becomes the second member of the legendary trio to visit Ghana after Bosh flew into the country back in 2014.
He played for Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers before retiring from the NBA in the 2019 season and has moved on to become a minor owner of NBA outfit, Utah Jazz.

Actress Union is well known for her starring roles in movies such Bring It on, Cradle 2 the Grave, Deliver Us from Eva and Think Like A Man.
